“Simple. Elegant. Beautiful.” Now while those three words can describe a lot of things (a figure skater, a poem by Robert Frost, a horse), I’m using them now to describe The Christiaan Armoires. Made from trees, these 3 big cabinets (Armoires, sorry) are actually pretty close to the pinnacle of sustainability. Their maker, Piet Houtenbos, tries to get their wood from local lumber yards where most of the wood either fell down itself or was cut down for causing property problems or due to age. Which is great because when you buy these three cabinets instead of a brand new car - they cost that much - it will make you feel good knowing you made a “green purchase.” Especially while you ship them cross-country.
